When the firm opened its doors over 50
years ago, our founder W. Munro Roberts, Jr. committed
himself to serving the needs of the insurance industry. He
began modestly by defending automobile accidents and slip
and fall claims. His rates were reasonable and he made it a
practice to move the claims toward resolution. Although the
landscape has dramatically changed with the advent of
products liability, toxic exposure and medical malpractice,
the firm's commitment to reasonable rates and closed files
has not. We are still serving the needs of the insurance
industry. Today we are handling construction claims,
coverage disputes, asbestos exposure and nursing home
litigation with the same approach. We charge a reasonable
rate and resolve disputes as fast and efficiently.
The succeeding generation of Roberts,
Perryman has not abandoned its roots. We still do our share
of auto and slip and fall cases. But, you will also find us
pouring through underwriting files and resolving coverage
disputes. We crawl underneath tractor-trailers to examine
air brakes. We also study the cause and effect of substances
such as asbestos, benzene ad silica. It is not uncommon for
us to work with the medical professionals in contesting
causation of traumatic injuries such as disc herniations,
bulges and head injuries. While we do our share of sore
necks and backs, we also know how to defend a nursing home
on a decubitis ulcer and cross-examine a neuropsychologist
on a brain injury.
We work daily with claims professionals
throughout the United States on claims arising in Illinois
and Missouri where our knowledge of the local terrain serves
as a guide through the minefield. We find ourselves
defending the rights of unsuspecting insureds in
plaintiff-friendly venues such as the City of St. Louis and
Madison and St. Clair Counties in Illinois.
At Roberts, Perryman we understand the
needs of the insurance industry. We not only understand
litigation guidelines, we are committed to making them work.
Returning telephone calls and completing litigation budgets
are not luxury. They are our bread and butter. Our billing
is concise and to the point. We always handle the file with
an eye toward resolving the dispute. You will see this in
our billing as well as our status reports. Whether we are
presenting closing arguments to a jury or hammering out a
settlement in mediation, we are constantly moving the file
forward and resolving the claim. If you would like us to
resolve your claims efficiently and economically, please
call or e-mail us.
